Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Gazioğlu Yazılım A.Ş. (the “Company”, “we”) collects through the kentbilgisistemi.com website and the “Kent Bilgi Sistemi” mobile application published on Google Play, Huawei AppGallery and the App Store (together, the “Platform”), how we use it and what your rights are. For the statutory notice on the processing of personal data, please read our Personal Data Protection Notice (KVKK).
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, surname, username, e-mail address, optional phone number and password (stored only as an irreversible hash). When you sign in with Google or Apple, the name, e-mail address and account identifier these services share with us.
- User content: places you add, descriptions, photos, comments, ratings, favourites and messages exchanged with other users.
- Contact: information you send us through the contact form or by e-mail.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser/device type, operating system, app version, pages visited and access times (server logs for security and legal obligations),
- Push notification token — so that we can send you notifications,
- Analytics and advertising cookie and SDK data, only with your consent (see the Cookie Policy).
2. How we use information
- To create your account, verify your sign-in and provide the services (city guide, adding places, messaging, favourites, notifications, news),
- To answer your requests and complaints and inform you about important changes to the service,
- To keep the Platform secure and prevent abuse, fake and unlawful content,
- To measure and improve how the Platform is used, with your consent,
- To show advertisements and, with your consent, personalised advertisements,
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data.

5. Advertising and consent management
On your first visit to the website you are asked for your cookie preferences; analytics and advertising cookies are loaded only if you consent (Google Consent Mode v2 defaults to “denied”). You can change your choice with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
In the mobile app, ads are served by Google AdMob. Where required, Google’s consent form (UMP) is shown on first launch; you can change your choice under “Privacy options” in the app settings. On iOS, cross-app tracking happens only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the device settings. You can also turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.
6. Sharing
We share information only with the infrastructure providers we work with to run the service (hosting, e-mail, notifications), with the third-party services listed above and, where legally required, with competent authorities. Places, comments and profile details you publish (name/username, profile photo) can be seen by other users.
7. Retention and deletion
Your information is kept while your account is open. You can delete your account in the app or on the website, or request deletion as described on the Account and Data Deletion page; account data are deleted or anonymised within 30 days at the latest. Records subject to a statutory retention obligation (e.g. access logs under Law No. 5651) are deleted at the end of that period.
8. Security
Traffic between you and the Platform is encrypted with HTTPS; passwords are stored as irreversible hashes; access to servers and the admin panel is limited to authorised staff. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
9. Children
The Platform is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we delete it; you can notify us at info@kentbilgisistemi.com.
10. Your rights
Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK and how to apply are described in the Personal Data Protection Notice. If you use the Platform from the European Economic Area, you can exercise your GDPR rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability in the same way.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when necessary. We announce material changes on the Platform; the current version is always available on this page.
